I have always used it plugged into a power outlet with its original 70W adapter since day one, and macOS has learned my charging routine. As a result, it maintains the battery level at 80% most of the time. As a first-time Apple user, this is my very first Apple product. nvlddmkm.sys isse in LatencyMon — Symptom: Upon boot, the PC starts to lag within 5 mins. Restart/shutdown takes too long, I waited for 18 minutes, then force-shutdown. Since then, I have had to force-shutdown every time I boot the PC. PC works fine after the 2nd restart, i.e, after the force shutdown. I also had Wdf01000.sys error, which I solved using Claude. I did several fixes as per Claude; nothing seems to work. Also rolled back the NVIDIA driver via the DDU process. ollama multi gpu installer bugs — I've been struggling with the ollama update process. I have both nvidia and amd GPUs in my system. I have two instances of ollama running on different ports for this to work around issues. AMD 7800xt is using rocm. nvidia 4060ti is using their cuda stack. The Ollama install script stops when it detects nvidia-smi and doesn't download the AMD ROCm libraries. I've reported this problem already. It's just getting to be a hassle with each iteration. I'm curious if anyone else has a setup like this and it's also a problem for them. I had created a bug report for this problem. The reason I have a hybrid setup is GPU availability and price. I bought the 7800XT first but couldn't find another one for a remotely reasonable price. The 4060ti was reasonable and it can handle the two models I need running all the time for spam filtering. The 7800XT is the one i use for on demand models.

Watching a show with some Spanish scenes and they speak so fast that it's impossible to understand — I've been watching this show on Apple TV (Your Friends and Neighbors) and the show is mostly in English but there are some scenes entirely in Spanish since one of the characters is Dominican. I'm an A2 in Spanish right now, but it's so hard to understand the Spanish scenes because they talk so fast and their accent is different than what I'm used to. Any tips on how I can better understand these scenes? I have subtitles on which helps a little, but do I need to just rewind the scene over and over again until I "get it"?

Before the Open — Sep. 30 The tape is offering a window to take risk again, but not a reason to buy everything. The cleanest high-beta expression is Bitcoin: if BTC holds its strength, $MSTR and $CAN are the names with the most torque. Then there are the established trend lines: $DELL for AI enterprise spend, $INTC for the rebound trend, $PANW for cybersecurity relative strength. $NBIS is different. It is not a one-day headline trade. It has been building for several sessions, and it is worth watching for continuation rather than forcing a chase. The key is to stay selective: BTC needs to confirm the BTC trades. The trend names need to hold relative strength after the open. $NBIS needs follow-through. A tradable window is not the same thing as a broad risk-on market.

Alright per plan of reaching short trigger 1, it now offers a good reaction, timing and confluences: ➡️NYO ➡️Midrange ➡️Perp driven move ➡️High amount of liquidations ➡️Mild expectations of a drop into monthly close ➡️Bearish bias Risk: ➡️Confirmation of midrange reclaim and move to range high. So I'm managing my risk for that possibility. But bearish biased as you know, so I'm following that bias. If it fails here, I'm trying again at range high, hard stops somewhere in the middle in between.

US inflation comes in below expectations while the economy keeps growing — Fresh data released today sent a positive signal for Bitcoin and the stock market. Core PCE held at 3.0% year over year, keeping underlying inflation at its previous level. Headline PCE slowed noticeably to 2.6% after revisions to prior data. Meanwhile, the final estimate for US Q2 GDP was revised up to 2.2% from 1.5%. That's a fairly comfortable mix for markets: inflation is cooling, and the economy isn't sliding into recession. For the Fed, this is an argument against rushing into another rate hike. For risk assets, including crypto, this kind of scenario is usually seen as positive. Bitcoin and US stock futures moved higher in response.

Legion 15AHP11 Power shift wedges RTX 5070 — I just bought a Legion 11AHP15 and it's an absolute steal. I went ahead and installed NixOS (dual-boot). Every module and function works fine but there's this specific firmware ACPI routing bug on the Legion 11AHP15 (BIOS T2CN43WW) that causes the Nvidia RTX 5070 to be falsely ejected from the PCI bus during runtime power state changes. This is happens in the desktop. When the dGPU is idle and enters D3cold, plugging in the AC adapter triggers a power profile shift as expected. The kernel attempts to wake the dGPU, but the ACPI evaluation fails because the NVD1 symbol is missing from the DSDT. The kacpi\_hotplug driver interprets this failure as a physical device disconnection and forces an emergency teardown while the display is active. Work Phone vs Personal Phone — Hello, I'll keep it short. I am a director of rehab for a therapy company. We do not have work phones and are expected to bring work home with us, whatever that may entail. Business partners, patients, family members, and physicians offices all have my personal number, and the amount of calls and texts I get outside of normal working hours are becoming stressful and tiring. I want to be able to limit the amount of unnecessary calls and texts I receive until the next morning. Kind of like a do not disturb. I don't want to ignore every person from work or work related calls/texts, because some can not be put off. Are there any good apps or tricks you have used to help limit those calls or texts? $BTC spent 293 days below its 200-day average before the latest golden cross. It’s close to the deepest reset in Binance’s historical sample, and personally much more interesting than the cross itself. Across the 6 previous crosses that followed 150+ days below the 200DMA, BTC eventually traded ~100% to 600% above the cross level within the following year. After shallower resets, 4 of 6 episodes never reached +100%. But there’s an important catch: more time below trend didn’t automatically produce a bigger recovery. The closest historical setup, ~297 days in 2015, eventually peaked around +150%. And this time BTC is trying to rebuild trend with the 10Y around 5.2% and another Fed hike increasingly priced in. I wouldn’t read 293 days as a target. I read it as evidence that this wasn’t a normal dip/reset before the cross.

My current positions ( $DELL $META $AMD $ALAB $HPE ) haven’t built much of a cushion yet, and my total exposure is already around 50% including crypto. So today is probably another day to wait for me, although there are still some decent opportunities to increase exposure. $DELL on the EMA pullback, $HPE $NVDA base breakout and $ETH breakout are all worth watching today. Even though last week made me think otherwise, I’m still not sure this is a market where we can fully trust breakout entries yet. I’d rather build a little more cushion first.

Yeah but if you start soon enough you’re likely able to put 200k in there over time and watch it grow amazing if selective. GAP is breaking out, but I’m not convinced this is a longer-term move yet — GAP has been showing up on my momentum screen this week. The stock closed yesterday at $23.54 after two strong days and just broke above its recent 20-day high. The short-term setup looks pretty good. RSI is around 66, MACD is improving, and GAP has outperformed SPY by about 21% over the last 60 days. What makes me cautious is the longer-term trend. Over 120 days, GAP is still significantly underperforming SPY, and the stock is already around 9% above its 20-day moving average. So I’m looking at this more as a short-term momentum trade than the beginning of a new long-term trend. The main level I’m watching is around $23.50. If GAP can hold above that level and keep seeing decent volume, I think the momentum could continue. ADVICE - Upgrading System — I am looking to upgrade my system, and looking for advice on where to upgrade first and what components would be best. I am based in the UK, budget is flexible, I am happy to spend money on stuff that will last another 5+ years if possible. Efficiency is key. PCE, Consumer Spending, ADP Jobs All Better Than Expected — PCE came in at 0.2% for the month, against 0.3% expected. Consumer spending rose 0.6%, the biggest monthly gain in a year. ADP jobs were 90,000, better than expected. The econ data looks good. Getting some relief on the ten year yield. I am over 80% long this morning. Sticking to the plan. The economy is still coming in strong. I think most of the rate re-adjustment is already behind us. Although there may be some more to go, just not at the same type of pace. I got about 40bps back yesterday of the 80bps I lost on Monday. Looking to get back to the highs if we get a rip. HPE is the top holding. NVDA, SNDK, DELL, MU, and NTNX are right behind it. KLAC was a decent winner yesterday. It was one of the larger positions going into the day, and it is about 2% now. I am still using QB500 and Tech. I have been leaving the healthcare model alone. Old 401k questions about rolling over into Roth IRA — I am not asking for advice, just help figuring out what my outcomes look like if I were to cash out, rollover. I have an old 401k I am not contributing to and would like to have that money earn more tax free. I know I would have to roll it into a new traditional ira first, but would it even be a smart move? I don’t know how much it is, probably 10k or less I didn’t work there for more than 3 years so I also wouldn’t mind cashing out but it’s with Merrill lynch and I have no clue how to get a hold of a human that works there, all numbers lead to bots that need an account number which I don’t have access to. Robinhood on the other hand could roll it over for me to then cash out after but I’d like to know all the tax implications before doing so. To add information, I am 24 in MN and I have a different 401k with my current employer

PCE, Consumer Spending, ADP Jobs All Better Than Expected — PCE came in at 0.2% for the month, against 0.3% expected. Consumer spending rose 0.6%, the biggest monthly gain in a year. ADP jobs were 90,000, better than expected. The econ data looks good. Getting some relief on the ten year yield. I am over 80% long this morning. Sticking to the plan. The economy is still coming in strong. I think most of the rate re-adjustment is already behind us. Although there may be some more to go, just not at the same type of pace. I got about 40bps back yesterday of the 80bps I lost on Monday. Looking to get back to the highs if we get a rip. HPE is the top holding. NVDA, SNDK, DELL, MU, and NTNX are right behind it. Let's not forget @andyyy that tokenized stocks is not additive for $HOOD, it's simply moving the rail. For $COIN, this is clearly a new offering and will take share from HOOD as adoption takes place. HOOD can do all the @CNBC marketing they want. $COIN is going to bring the US onchain across all verticals, at some point folks are going to figure it out. Coinbase generated an unlinked Solana address for my deposit — any way to recover or escalate? — I tried depositing a Solana token from my Phantom wallet to Coinbase. I copied the deposit address directly from the Coinbase Receive page in the app, pasted it into Phantom, and sent it over. SolScan shows the transaction went through and was finalized on the Solana network. However, the tokens never hit my Coinbase account. When I contacted Coinbase support, they told me the address I sent it to isn't linked to my account in their system, so they can't recover it.
