$500 (MA, USA) repay $600 on 10/21, CashApp / PayPal / Apple Cash - Messed up My finances this month and my kids are paying for my stupidity. — I’m a father of two, who normally has a pretty good grasp on his finances. This month I got hit with three different unplanned for expenses that thankfully I had money put away for, what I forgot to account for was my car payment. In all the stress I completely forgot to think about the money that would be coming out for my car that has now bounced and my bank has started hitting me with overdraft fees. Build the Neck Station please. — A recent report says Apple is exploring four directions for a lighter Vision: external compute and battery; an all-in-one design using lighter materials; smaller optics and fewer sensors; or a headset with basic onboard compute and battery that offloads heavier work to an iPhone. These are still rumors. But my immediate reaction was: **if Apple is already considering moving the computer off the head, why not build it into a Neck Station?** I mean a proper video-passthrough MR headset: binocular displays, eye tracking, hand input and spatial tracking. Amazon Flex Manchester Depot – Is this normal? 😩 — Started today from the Manchester depot with a **2.5-hour block for £41**. I was expecting it to be fairly straightforward, but almost all the parcels were in **Manchester City Centre**. It ended up taking me **around 5 hours to deliver everything**. The route even included **2 parcels inside Arndale Centre**, which took extra time with parking, walking around, finding the locations, etc. I drove around **40 miles in total**, and to make things worse, I **nearly got a parking ticket from a parking enforcement officer** while trying to deliver one of the parcels. Luckily, I managed to get away before they issued the ticket. 😅 So a **2.5-hour £41 block turned into nearly 5 hours of work**, around 40 miles of driving, city-centre traffic, parking problems and the stress of potentially getting a ticket. **Is this normal for Manchester depot routes?** Or did I just get extremely unlucky today? Jailbreak and syncs? — I have two Kindles and was wondering how jailbreaking would affect syncing between them. Would I lose the ability to sync my reading progress between my two devices after jailbreaking? I don’t read Amazon books—I mostly sideload EPUBs through Calibre or use the Send to Kindle app. I’m mainly interested in jailbreaking for features like reading stats and better organization, but being able to pick up where I left off on either Kindle is important to me. Has anyone here jailbroken their Kindles while using two devices this way? How does syncing work?

$META is down today and trading around $718. It’s taking a breather, which is completely normal after the run it just had. Remember, this stock was trading around $545 in late August and recently crossed $750. Muse has been a major driver of the recent surge, and the crazy part is that it launched less than three weeks ago and has already seen millions of downloads. The bigger story, in my opinion, is 2027. That’s when more of $META ‘s massive AI infrastructure buildout should be in place and investors should start getting a much clearer picture of the returns on all this CapEx spending. I don’t think the biggest move has happened yet.

Cursor stuck on “Loading chats” after reboot — root cause was a 52 GB state.vscdb (cursorDiskKV ≈ 2.7M rows) — Cursor version: 3.22.7 OS: macOS 27.0 (Build 26A428) / Apple Silicon Repro: reboot Mac → open Cursor → chats stuck on “Loading chats” (or New Chat spins on `hello`). Moving `state.vscdb` aside → instant recovery. After a Mac reboot, Cursor itself opened fine, but chat sat on **Loading chats**. Even when the list appeared, a New Chat with just `hello` spun forever. Force-quit / relaunch failed many times; once it suddenly recovered and felt fast. Classic “must be the network / API” pattern. The only stock that may be able to maintain a rebound today is $NVDA. However $SNDK remains one of the better names to watch for overall market sentiment. Over the past period CPUs memory and optical communications have taken turns leading the market. Today technology stocks are selling off across the board. However if a stock like $SNDK can recover a large portion of its losses after falling 7% it suggests that capital is still willing to buy the dip and position for the next move. Simply put the various negative factors that accumulated over the weekend are being released into the market today. If the three major semiconductor segments can recover a meaningful portion of their losses it at least suggests that some capital may remain optimistic about the outlook. MSTR pushed up to around $159.75 today, so that area is already acting like the first resistance zone if price can reclaim $160 and hold, the next area is $162.5-$165, where there’s a very strong positive gamma cluster if $165 is cleared, $170 becomes the bigger upside target, with the max positive gamma on the Oct 2 map at around $20.6M on the downside, $155 is the first support area, and price already reacted there today after making a low around $155 if $155 gives way, then $150 is the next major downside level, where negative gamma gets much heavier.

Quantifying Peptide Content using HPLC with Relative Response Factor? — My lab started to test wellness peptides and GLP-1s in lyophilised powder. The sample may contain a single peptide or a peptide blend. I dont have a nitrogen analyzer, but i have LC-UV/QQQ/QTOF. Buying certified analytical standards for every test/peptide is very expensive and not alway available. Instead, can i buy the expansive peptide standard once to determine the relative response factor against a different and cheaper peptide standard??? For future, I will use the calibration curve of the cheaper peptide and relative response factor to determine the content of the expansive peptide. Can I use this approach instead of buying a Dumas nitrogen analyzer?

New to Me - 2007 Honda Pilot — Almost 4 years ago, I bought a 2006 Honda Pilot. It was a bit of a beater, and as far as beaters go, I couldn’t have imagined how great that purchase would be. It had 197K miles. Today it has 258K miles and it feel like I could take it for another 200K. Today, I bought a 2007 Honda Pilot with just 101K miles. This thing is super clean. Single owner, garage kept. Quite literally a grandma car that has gotten so little use. Under the hood is unbelievably clean. Best settings to prevent stuttering gameplay? (I believe it's my screen settings) — I have an NVIDIA graphics card (RTX 3080) and a 12th Gen i7. I also have GB internet so I don't believe my issue is related to anything internal hardware or connectivity. I'm convinced the issue is related to my monitor though. Parking assist unavalible, issue.. — Hi everyone, I need some help with a parking assist issue. Car: 2020 Tesla Model 3 Long Range, built in September 2020, 127,000 km. Location: Finland, Europe. About a week and a half ago my car got a software update and after that the parking assist stopped working, mainly the front sensors. At first I thought it was some kind of software bug, so I tried all possible reboots and resets and also contacted Tesla service, but it looks like the problem is probably not software related. In Service Mode I get “Lost Connection” for all the sensors and also this error: PARK\_a063\_sensorVoltage: Sensor supply voltage outside of specification I removed the front bumper because I thought there might be some obvious problem, like a damaged connector, corrosion or a loose pin. But everything looked fine. I cleaned all the connectors and sensors, checked continuity and ground with a multimeter, as well as the resistance, and everything seemed fine. The ca…

$ASST Warrant holders have got to be thinking that $MSTR moving to daily dividends is going to shift some premium from Stive to Strategy. Wouldn't suprise me if any warrants exercised immediately dump for profit, meaning there is no way Strive is getting out of being pinned until the warrant expiry date. After that some readjustment is likely in premium if the market is efficient as MSTR vote gets approval and implementation occurs.

What I’m looking for in $CRCL price action right now: the stock is trading around the key $84 level. If 84 breaks, the current range structure changes and I’ll need to look for a new setup. If 84 holds, I’m looking for a move toward 98, which is now the upper end of the range. For me, 98 is the critical level. A break above it would put the stock above the LT bearish trend that has been in place since 2023 & that’s where I’d consider taking a longer term position. The plan here is to take a long around 84 with a 1/2% stop below it. That gives me a defined risk while I wait to see if price can move toward 98. If 98 breaks, I’d look to take another longer term position.

When I joined Apple in 2016, $AAPL was in the $90s, pre-split. I got over $100K in Apple stock. Then it went to ~$170. I sold a big chunk. Why? “Apple is already the most valuable company in the world. How much bigger can it possibly get?” Sounded perfectly logical to me. Today, that $170 is $42.50 split-adjusted. $AAPL is now around $340. Turns out “already #1” was not an investment thesis. Very expensive lesson.

ssd not recognized ios 27 — problem as old as time itself. Its an sandisk ultra portable ssd, divided into two partitions, but neither are showing/accessible. Tried out different cables, tried it with a normal usb cable and an adapter, hoped a software update would help, but nothing. It doesn't show in disk utility either. But the „trust this ssd" window has already popped up twice at least. I don't have any other devices to check the ssd, but at least it showed up on my ipad.

TQQQ took 37 months to recover from its old peak. QQQ took 24. The bottom wasn't the end. — I looked at how long the December 2021 drawdown lasted, because the low point doesn't describe the whole holding experience. In this observed event, SPY and QQQ needed 24 months to reach a new high. QLD needed 29 and TQQQ needed 37. These are month-end observations from funds that were live throughout the event. INDMoney for US stocks/etf. Tax planning for 5.5LPA — My wife earns 5.5LPA. I earn 50LPA. I want to open an INDMoney account to have us invest in US stocks/etfs like VTI, VOO, QQQ, etc. Short term capital gains for foreign assets is <= 24 months. Tax rate is at tax slab. Long term capital gains for foreign assets is > 24 months. Tax rate is 12.5%. So if her tax slab is < 12.5%, does it make sense (if there are unrealized gains) to sell the US stocks each year, and buy back the same stocks? I don't want to invest in my account since my slab is at 30% and I would have to wait 2 years to sell it at a lower slab.

$CRCL called it right. we said chain was at $87.55, -1.6% off friday's $89.00 close. exchange opened monday at $87.24, -2.0%. same direction, chain missed the size by 0.3 points. tape backing that move was thin going in: $3.7M volume but sellers ahead of buyers, 3166 against 2094, and depth basically matched volume across 20 pools. easy tape to push down, and it pushed down. btc was -1.7% too so this wasn't isolated, whole board leaned red. chain called direction 1 of 2 now. small sample, we keep counting. nfa
